Three Wrestlers Named To Academic All-America Team

Belmont Abbey wrestlers Tim Stanton, Adam Phillips and Jerami Bartley were named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Academic All-America team. Stanton was named to the second team, while Phillips and Bartley were named to the honorable mention team. Stanton earned the honor for the second-straight year.

In order for a student-athlete to be nominated for the Division II All-Academic Team, he needed to have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. They must also be in at least their second full year at their school, be a varsity member on their team or a key reserve, demonstrating a degree of skill and have a minimum of two letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf.
